What is not allowed

These profiles and topics have no place on ottic.de.

political activism, political parties, political or religious propaganda
religious groups or proselytizing
private profiles with no connection to the allowed topics
insults, hate speech, threats, harassment or doxxing
spam, impersonation and fake engagement
illegal content, piracy and adult content
political or ideological discussion — except when directly connected to an artistic creation (song, artwork…) posted on the platform

Enforcement

We moderate content and accounts to keep ottic.de a home for creatives. If you violate the rules above, your account can be banned. In case of a ban, there is no refund for already paid subscription fees. Appeals may be sent to support@ottic.de.

Terms of Service

A plain-language version, adapted for a creative community. Effective immediately.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, redeeming an invite code or using ottic.de in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our content rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or meet the minimum age required by the law of your country to enter into a binding agreement. By using ottic.de you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Do not share your login credentials, and do not use someone else's account. If you believe your account was compromised, contact support@ottic.de immediately.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant ottic.de a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and distribute your content so we can operate the platform, show your posts to others and keep the community safe. You warrant that you own or have the rights to everything you post.

5. Content rules

ottict.de is a platform for creatives and tech enthusiasts. Allowed topics include visual art, music and music culture, events, video and film, design, coding and technology, AI art and AI music, and creative lifestyle topics such as food and drinks. Not allowed are political activism and propaganda, religious groups, private profiles with no connection to the allowed topics, hate speech, insults, threats, harassment, spam, impersonation, illegal or adult content. Political or ideological discussion is only permitted when directly connected to an artistic creation (song, artwork…) posted on the platform.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms or the content rules, without prior notice. If your account is banned, there is no refund of already paid subscription fees. If you believe a decision was made in error, you may appeal within two weeks by writing to support@ottic.de.

7. Invite codes and paid plans

Paid plans are activated with invite codes. Free codes upgrade your account immediately. Paid codes currently lead to a payment flow that is being rolled out. Redeeming a code does not reserve or renew a subscription; a subscription is active for the period stated on the plan. Invite codes are single-use and may not be sold or transferred.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users. These Terms survive termination where they should.

9. Intellectual property

The ottic.de name, logo and platform design belong to us. You may not copy, scrape or reuse them without permission. You may not copy or redistribute other users' content without their permission.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, ottic.de is not liable for damages arising from your use of the platform, from content posted by other users, or from interruption of service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
